Clash Rules
Clashes will typically be focused on dancehall music selection, organization and juggling dexterity but DJs are free to blend in whatever genre of music they choose.

COMPETITORS WILL BE JUDGED ON SONG CHOICE, TECHNIQUE,CREATIVITY, SCRATCHING AND BEAT JUGGLING ABILITY.

DJ's take responsibility fro technical issues that are not as result of MZJAs doing...in other words this can't be an excuse for the judges and members voting for the other DJ...

DJs are asked to as much as possible obey the radio and DJ rules.

The contest will be for a total of 1 hour consisting of 3 segments:
  1. 15 minutes each freestyle juggling;
  2. 10 minutes each exclusive selections...or not more 10 selections each;
  3. 10 minutes shared dub for dub...or not more than 5 minutes each...
To ensure smooth flow, a maximum of two and half minutes will be allowed between sets...

It will be the clash moderator/referee overall responsibility to ensure the clash proceeds according to the rules and time limits set...

There will be 2 sets of judging...one by the select panel of judges and the other by MZJA members. The ultimate winner will be decided by the popular vote (one per IP address) which we will done on our Live Clash page or in MZJA polls...

Judging will take place for all segments and for the overall winner.

Judges will make their decision after the three sets have been completed and members will have up to an hour after the end of the contest to vote on all there segments and on the final winner...

The moderator/referee is responsible for tabulating the votes and reporting on the final winner...

A recording of the clash will be made and will be the property of MZJA only and will be made available to our members and listerners in whatever for we choose...

The live streaming of clash and each DJ will sometimes be done but will not figure in the final judging of the contest.

DJs/COMPETITORS AGREE TO ACCEPT VOTING AND THE JUDGES DECISION AS FINAL.
